An early American 19th C. watercolor painting of Peonies by an unknown Artist. Eight large pink peonies with green stems and leaves in a tiny blue, pink, and green striped vase. The watercolor is faded and in an original frame with old glass.
Peonies are known as the flower of riches and honor. They embody romance and prosperity and are regarded as an omen of good fortune and a happy marriage.

Not examined out of frame. Some water damage/light staining along edges. Some scattered foxing and light fading of colors. No visible tears or repairs. Some discoloration and otherwise good condition.
